Mecca Shriners believe fun and philanthropy are central to our fellowship. We are Shriners because we are committed to making a difference in the lives of children in need. Join us in helping make the World a better place, one child at a time through Shriners Hospitals For Children.

Shriners International is a fraternity guided by the Masonic principles of brotherly love, relief and truth. Being a Shriner is about experiencing fun and fellowship with a global community of brothers who are committed to their families and engaged in ongoing personal growth while supporting the philanthropy they started, Shriners Children's.

If you hold the title of Master Mason in Freemasonry, you qualify and are invited to join the Shriners. In order to become a Shriner you must ask a current Shriner to support and sponsor your application. If you don't know a current Shriner we can help you and introduce you to some of our members so you can get to konw Mecca Shrine.

If you are not a Freemason, you must pursue that first. Ask and we can help assist you on that journey. Once you are a Master Mason you will then be eligible to petition to become a Shriner.

Shriners International was founded in 1872 as a Masonic fraternity that showcased fun and fellowship for its members. Shriners continue to carry on that tradition today.

No matter what your idea of having fun is, we can accommodate. Boating? Craft brewing? Woodworking? Kickball? Texas Hold’em? Grilling? There are clubs for all of those activities and thousands more. And, if there isn’t a club or unit featuring one of your favorite interests, your Shrine Center can help you create one. The best part is, as a Shriner, you can connect with other members who share similar interests and hobbies.

We base our fraternity on membership in Freemasonry. To become a Shriner, a man must first be a Mason.

In 1922, fueled by their desire to make a difference in the world, Shriners founded their own philanthropy, Shriners Children’s. Over the past century, it has become one of the largest pediatric sub-specialty healthcare systems in the world with locations in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
